Advanced Image Analysis Software

Caliper’s inForm™ software for Nuance FX and Nuance EX systems effectively tackles the biggest challenge that microscopists face once quantitative images have been acquired - extracting meaningful data.  This extraction becomes increasingly more complicated when performing multi-label analysis, as signals from individual molecular markers can be weak and highly mixed. 

Multispectral technology allows inForm to spectrally unmix multiple signals on a per-cell or per-object basis, enabling capturing complex phenotypes. Signal-to-noise is also increased by up to 100x via automatic removal of autofluorescence, opening new pathways for discovering previously unseen signals.

inForm combines powerful tissue segmentation algorithms with an intuitive learn-by-example interface. Users can easily transfer their knowledge of target tissue areas to the software simply by drawing around a few example tissue segments. Once trained, inForm will locate and analyze user-specified regions automatically across an entire image or multiple images. Large numbers of images can be rapidly batch processed, allowing analysis that might have taken days to be done in a matter of minutes. 

inForm software is available as an option on all Nuance systems, and comes standard with Vectra. The software can be used on any laptop or desktop PC, and can read and analyze both multispectral images and industry-standard TIFFs.
